I approached Gio about shooting with me having seen a shot of him with a HUGE fauxhawk. I was more interested in his hair than shooting anything else. However, I really hadn't seen his physique until he sent me some other shots. We met at the studio/gallery and I showed him my work and we talked concepts. Our energies seemed to mesh and he turned out to be a really great person. He is from Germany and working in San Diego. We decided to shoot some fashion for him and some art for me and a mix for both. As it was just a test we had the opportunity just to enjoy the play and create some great images. I got the chance to utilize the beautiful frosted natural light that only happens in my studio during the summer, because of the building next door, for the first time this year.
We did end up doing a fauxhawk at the end of the session, He's still gorgeous even as "blue". : )
Gio is touring Europe for the summer. Due to return to the U.S. this fall. We are planning a lifecast torso when he returns.
