I was introduced to Chris on Model Mayhem website in February of this year. He was planniing a trip to LA in June to work with several photographers prior to a bodybuilding competition. I was interested in doing a lifecast torso and getting some shots for my new art series while he was here. Chris has a total fascination with Superman, hence the "S" tattoo on the right shoulder and the collection of "S" jewelry. My goal was to actually stay clear of the tattoo and catch more of "Chris". My "manifestations series" deals with transforming energy and I had a concept to make Chris fly (more on the trampoline purchase later). We got so many great "in flight" images that it was difficult to select the first canvas image. Ultimately it became clear that Chris had become his own "Super Hero" in the work. We did a few more figure shots and then the lifecast before he had to head back to LA for his next shoot. The raw lifecast was still in the sculpt studio until just a few days ago when I started to work on it. I didn't realize that we had actually captured an imprint of his "S" tattoo. It will be a really nice addition to my next show along with the new canvas "The Hero". Thanks Chris!
